“Make Your Own Dream Pasta: Hello Pasta Now Open”
Get ready for a pasta invasion. Hello Pasta, which fashions itself as a more upscale fast food restaurant serving pasta with a variety of sauces, has opened its first of four planned restaurants.
Here’s their recipe: The pasta is imported from Italy and organic (with whole wheat and gluten-free options). The sauces — pomodoro, pesto, carbonara and bolognese are among the choices — are made with all-natural, locally sourced ingredients. All the dishes are $10 and under! The pastas can be ordered in small or large sizes. You may order meats, fish or poultry with your dish and top it off with parmesan cheese or a gluten free/vegan alternative. If pasta isn’t your thing, soups, salads and cold pastas are also available. The space was designed by Antonio Di Oronzo, founder of Bluarch Architecture and Urban Planning, with a modern look.
Partners Laurent Lesort, Gregory Baratte and Nicolas Barthelemy plan to open another outlet in August on Third Avenue between 44th and 45th Streets, followed by Maiden Lane at Wall Street in the Financial District and the fourth location at 38th Street and Broadway in September. Hello Pasta is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Hello Pasta is located at 649 Lexington Avenue (between 54th and 55th Streets), 212-55-PASTA, www.hellopasta.com.
