“Learn to Cook Restaurant-Style (without the yelling)…”
How many times have you been at a restaurant, really loving your meal, and thought, “I'd love to make this at home....” Well chef Fabio Trabocchi of Fiamma is answering that cry by offering a series of montly cooking classes teaching the modern Italian dishes that earned him three-stars (and then a slap on the wrist for raising prices) from Frank Bruni of the New York Times.
Trabocchi's Saturday cooking classes are two-hours long and will be followed by a meal to share. Classes begin at 11am and cost $100 per person or $250 for all three. Class size is limited and registration is required. The schedule for the next three months is as follows:
March 29 - Le Paste e Il RisottoI Vincisgrassi and Il Risotto
April 26 - Gli Antipasti Il Carpaccio and I Carciofi
May 31 - Dal Mare e Dalla Terra Il Merluzzo, La Razza and Il Vitello
Fiamma is located at 206 Spring Street (between 6th Ave. and Sullivan Street), 212-653-0100, www.fiammarestaurant.com.
