“Nectar opens in Harlem”

This sleek, airy, and modern wine bar comes to us from college friends Jai Jai Greenfield and Eric Woods, who opened Harlem’s first wine shop, Harlem Vintage, four years ago. With Nectar, they’re putting their wine knowledge to good use, pouring an international selection of over 25 glasses by the (Schott-Zwiesel & Riedel) glass. There’s bubbly like Casteller Cava NV from Spain ($3 for a 2oz taste, $9/gls), whites like Stadlmann Zierfander 'Classic' 2006, from Austria ($4 taste, $10/gls), and reds like Scherer Pinot Noir d'Alsace 2005, from France ($3/taste, $9/gls) and Montesecondo Toscana Rosso 2005, from Italy ($4/tst, $11/gls). To pair up with the vino, there’s a nicely edited menu of cheeses and charcuterie from around the world ($7.50/$14/$20).
