“Summer Solstice Tasting at Appellation”

To welcome summer, Appellation Wine and Spirits (156 10th Avenue  at 19th Street) and The Cleaver Company’s Green Table will host a Summer Solstice tasting tomorrow (Friday June 20th) from 5:30-8:30pm.

Mary Cleaver’s Green Table restaurant, located in the Chelsea Market, sources its ingredients from local purveyors and stresses the importance of local and sustainable agriculture and she’ll be serving trout and duck rillettes on housemade blue corn crackers, organic fresh crudite with seasonal dips, cheese and grilled bread with three Appellation wines: 2007 Ponzi Willamette Pinot Gris (sustainable), 2006 Kalleske Barossa Valley “Clarry’s Red” (organic) and 2005 Château de Puligny-Montrachet Monthelie (organic).

The cost of the tasting is $15, and includes a Riedel glass. Please RSVP for one of two tasting times: 5:30pm to 7:00pm or 7:00pm to 8:30pm. To register, e-mail info@appellationnyc.com with subject as “Green Table” indicating the preferred time or call 212.741.9474.
