“Bring Your Own Topping (BYOT) at South Brooklyn Pizza ”

South Brooklyn Pizza is a new-ish Carroll Gardens haunt for wonderful authentic Neapolitan pizzas crisped in a brick oven until hot and bubbly. But the edict at this shop is the same as at other strict Naples-abiding spots—no fancy toppings. In fact, there's only ONE pie served at SBP and it's the classic Neapolitan pizza Margherita ($12 each), topped with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, basil, and drizzled with olive oil. I love the pies (and the slightly smoky crusts), but if you're craving some more action on your pie, say pepperoni or mushrooms, or a bit of sausage, now you can bring your own toppings that the pizzaiola will be happy to add to your pies.
